Meowser does a phenomenal job and provides great care to our two Siberian kittens. If you’re worried about taking your cantankerous cat to the groomer, take them to Meowser! We almost didn’t take our kittens to a groomer because they raise such a racket when we try to brush them, but we decided to take a chance on Meowser. We’re so glad we did! We’ve taken our cats to Meowser twice to receive a sanitary trim and brushing. Each time we’ve taken them to Meowser they’ve come back out looking clean and relaxed. They tolerate brushing from us much better now as well.
We’ve been bringing our senior cat to Meowser Pet Salon for several years now, and I’m consistently impressed with the level of care he receives. The staff is so gentle and attentive, always listening to his specific needs. Despite his dislike for being brushed, he always looks and feels so clean and refreshed when he comes home. I truly appreciate the wonderful care they provide for our sweet senior boy!
I have come here twice now with my cat Max, And I will never take him anywhere else to get groomed. They do an amazing job on his lion cut. He always comes home super happy and handsome and I feel very comfortable taking him here. My first time there I think they could tell I had anxiety leaving him with someone for the first time, so mid cut, they were so sweet and sent me an update message to let me know that he was being so good. Which is exactly what I needed to hear. Again, I wont take him anywhere else. They have earned my loyalty already. Meowser knows what they are doing!!
I had a fantastic experience with Meowser Salon! My long-haired cat was severely matted, and in a misguided attempt to fix it, I tried shaving the mats out myself, resulting in a rather comical look for my poor kitty. I messaged Meowser Salon on Tuesday, and they kindly fit us in on Wednesday. Now, my cat looks amazing, and the difference is night and day compared to my botched job. I will definitely be returning to have my cat groomed here regularly. Thank you, Meowser Salon!
I can not recommend Meowsers enough!!! They are incredibly kind and do an excellent job of grooming long haired cats. They are organized and timely. They get out mats swiftly. I’ve heard wonderful things about their boarding process as well since each cat gets a room to stay in.
I’m so grateful to live close to Meowsers. They are amazing!!! I have all long haired cats and, of course, one of them HATES to be brushed so she gets pretty bad mats. They always do such a wonderful job of getting her coat looking and feeling healthy, and since she’s old and fat she also gets her pantaloons trimmed so nicely which keeps her clean 🙂 Thank you so much for always taking great care of my girl.
I brought my Persian&American curled-ear mix boy in since he got extremely matted due to me being in and out of the hospital and being with my parents so he was with my roommates and not brushed religiously And they were very accommodating in getting me in pretty fast. I already tried shaving him (mostly just his back ill attach my funny looking at-home botch job aswell) but I got too scared to get the rest and they were very nice when I explained everything. Only took a few hours and he came back a new and even handsomer boy! As well as he was su-purrrr happy and calm when i got him (seriously what magic did you guys use?!) Thank you Sabrina for taking care of his first ever professional hair cut! I definitely will be bringing all my babies back in when they're needing a haircut! Or just groomed!🖤 yall are my savior!!!
Remy is my long haired void. He's looking and feeling much better with all the mats out of his fur. He purred for a solid half hour after we got home he was so pleased.
My cat, Chacha, is not thrilled about being put in her carrier and taken to Meowser, but she settles in and is well taken care of in her private area. I can go on vacation and relax, knowing she's at Meowser. Angela and Lela are great!
I was very nervous to get my little gal groomed after an incident at a different groomer a few years back. I finally made the jump. During scheduling and while dropping off I expressed all of my concerns and was met with such care. They asked a lot of questions and gave a TON of information which made me so much less anxious. When I picked her up we talked more and they gave me a lot of good info again. I am SO glad I chose Meowsers. They will be my go to from here on out. To top it off this might be the cutest haircut Bean has ever gotten. She looks like a curly lil teddy bear.

Call to BookFrequently Asked Questions About Cat Grooming
What should I expect during a professional cat grooming session?
A typical professional cat grooming session usually begins with a consultation to discuss your cat's needs. The groomer will then examine your cat's coat and skin condition before proceeding with services like brushing to remove loose fur, bathing with cat-specific shampoo, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and any specialized haircuts if needed. Most sessions take between 1-2 hours depending on your cat's coat condition and temperament.
How should I prepare my cat for a grooming appointment?
To prepare your cat for grooming, brush them at home a few days before to remove loose fur and minor tangles. Keep your cat in a secure carrier for transportation. Arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork and allow your cat time to adjust to the new environment. Bring information about your cat's health, temperament, and any areas they're sensitive about. For anxious cats, consider withholding food for 2-3 hours before the appointment to reduce the risk of stress-related nausea.
Why is professional cat grooming important?
Professional cat grooming is important for several reasons: it reduces shedding and hairballs, prevents painful matting, allows early detection of skin issues or parasites, keeps your cat's coat healthy and shiny, reduces dander (helpful for allergy sufferers), and maintains proper hygiene. Professional groomers have specialized tools, products, and techniques to safely handle cats, even those with behavioral challenges. Regular grooming also helps cats become more comfortable with handling, which is beneficial for veterinary visits.
How often should my cat be professionally groomed?
The frequency of professional grooming depends on your cat's coat type, length, and lifestyle. Long-haired breeds like Persians typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Medium-haired cats may need grooming every 6-8 weeks, while short-haired cats might only need professional attention every 8-12 weeks or during seasonal shedding periods. Cats with special conditions like obesity or arthritis that prevent self-grooming may need more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule based on your cat's specific needs.
What's the difference between cat and dog grooming?
Cat grooming differs significantly from dog grooming. Cats have more sensitive skin, requiring gentler handling and cat-specific products. Their grooming sessions are typically shorter to minimize stress. Cats often need specialized restraint techniques and quieter environments. Cat groomers use different tools designed for feline coats and are trained to recognize signs of stress unique to cats. Cat-only grooming facilities eliminate the anxiety many cats experience around dogs, creating a more comfortable experience for your feline friend.
