We love As the Fur Flies! They’re gentle and sweet with my girl. And I love the attention to details. I shared a pic of the preferred cut and they nailed it. ❤️
I've noticed that my dog used to shiver when I used leave her with the previous groomer, here she is calmer. I like their grooming style, and such fun accessories they send us home with. ❤️
As the Fur Flies is awesome! Belle always gets the cutest haircuts there and the groomers are super nice to her. She loves it every time. Definitely the go-to spot for a happy, well-groomed pup!
Ada turned my floppy moppy golden doodle into a beautiful and elegant pup! She was so so sweet with her and you can tell she really enjoys her work and will take great care of your pup. Wonderful work all around, very professional, informative, and they had good communication during booking, and sent many reminders about appointment time and date. I will definitely be returning in the future and recommending ATFF to everyone! I believe that the prices while a bit high, are more than fair due to the quality of work and the time spent. Thank you Ada! 🩷🩷🩷
They do such a good job with my boy's baths and nail trims! He comes home slippery and shiny and smelling delightful. The second time I brought him in, Elvis recognized them and started licking their faces even though he's nervous about any kind of grooming. They take their time and treat him so gently. I have a hard time trimming his nails at home, and I'm glad to have a fear-free groomer nearby who can keep him manicured without traumatizing him. I love the new location too -- it's much easier parking.
I am very picky with my dog and her haircut and the groomer here did an amazing job. My dog came out super clean and looking beautiful, the groomer did exactly what I asked her to do. Most importantly other than looks, they treated my dog with patience and she came out from here happy. Grooming can be stressful for our pups and having people that will treat them well during that time is the most important part of it. Thanks!
Our mobile groomer canceled on us a few times and we have a pretty anxious cat so we kept trying to wait for her which he’s used to. Finally his matts got so bad we had to do something. A friend recommended this place and it was great! Jackie at the North location by Brushy Creek is who did the services and she was WONDERFUL. The place was clean, staff friendly, work impeccable!!! We will definitely be back. Loved the full report we got from Jackie as well. A++ all the way around!
Been taking my dog here for a year or so. All the groomers are excellent and will be very sweet to your dog. Ive been asking how my dog behaves at the end & he seems to do better each time. It is a little pricey but worth it as he no longer gets hot spots or as itchy as he did with some grooming spots.
As The Fur Flies always has our little man looking dapper! It's not easy to work with doodle fur, but I always trust them to do what's best for him and to do a great job. And if you forget a leash, the slip leashes they have provided come in handy so you don't have to go all the way home!!
I take my little guy in here all the time for a tidy up treatment. He always comes out super clean and looking like he just spent the day at the spa. The staff is super sweet and are great at communication.

Call to BookFrequently Asked Questions About Cat Grooming
What should I expect during a professional cat grooming session?
A typical professional cat grooming session usually begins with a consultation to discuss your cat's needs. The groomer will then examine your cat's coat and skin condition before proceeding with services like brushing to remove loose fur, bathing with cat-specific shampoo, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and any specialized haircuts if needed. Most sessions take between 1-2 hours depending on your cat's coat condition and temperament.
How should I prepare my cat for a grooming appointment?
To prepare your cat for grooming, brush them at home a few days before to remove loose fur and minor tangles. Keep your cat in a secure carrier for transportation. Arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork and allow your cat time to adjust to the new environment. Bring information about your cat's health, temperament, and any areas they're sensitive about. For anxious cats, consider withholding food for 2-3 hours before the appointment to reduce the risk of stress-related nausea.
Why is professional cat grooming important?
Professional cat grooming is important for several reasons: it reduces shedding and hairballs, prevents painful matting, allows early detection of skin issues or parasites, keeps your cat's coat healthy and shiny, reduces dander (helpful for allergy sufferers), and maintains proper hygiene. Professional groomers have specialized tools, products, and techniques to safely handle cats, even those with behavioral challenges. Regular grooming also helps cats become more comfortable with handling, which is beneficial for veterinary visits.
How often should my cat be professionally groomed?
The frequency of professional grooming depends on your cat's coat type, length, and lifestyle. Long-haired breeds like Persians typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Medium-haired cats may need grooming every 6-8 weeks, while short-haired cats might only need professional attention every 8-12 weeks or during seasonal shedding periods. Cats with special conditions like obesity or arthritis that prevent self-grooming may need more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule based on your cat's specific needs.
What's the difference between cat and dog grooming?
Cat grooming differs significantly from dog grooming. Cats have more sensitive skin, requiring gentler handling and cat-specific products. Their grooming sessions are typically shorter to minimize stress. Cats often need specialized restraint techniques and quieter environments. Cat groomers use different tools designed for feline coats and are trained to recognize signs of stress unique to cats. Cat-only grooming facilities eliminate the anxiety many cats experience around dogs, creating a more comfortable experience for your feline friend.
