We took two of our pups to Sitting Pretty and they did a fantastic job! Tess (white dog) has a very thick coat and they did a fabulous job deshedding her. They listened intently when I requested how she be cut. I couldn’t be more pleased! And Emma, the golden, looks beautiful as well! They did great shaping her up and cleaning up her feet. The staff is friendly and you can tell they truly care about your pets! We’ll definitely be back!
Ive taken my cat for a shaving a few times, to get rid of mats and to keep her comfortable and its always lovely and affordable .... Today i took my corgi in for a wash and a grooming. She looks and smells amazing, and the way her fur feels is unbelievably soft. She is also SO happy. I can tell she feels better overall! Our groomer was Chloe. The price was well worth it. We will be back. Thank you Chloe and thank you Sitting Pretty!
My puppy/ dog has been to the groomer 2 times. The new location is beautiful. Wonderful group of ladies that love , love the animals they are grooming and caring for. My dog is still learning to interact with others. So that is progress. Parking is no complaint lots of spaces are available. Just be careful The groomer ( Zoe) has been very attentive to my request.
This salon is the nicest place I have ever taken my pup. They were kind and patient with him. They made me feel like my pet was the most important and loved little doggy alive. So glad I found them.
Took my lil one (Zeus) for the first time here and they did not disappoint. They were so friendly to me and my lil guy and came back to me so clean and fresh and smelling AMAZING. Such a great experience all the way around.
Stop by on a Saturday and it's buzzing. Everyone seems like they are having a great time- including the dogs. My Chihuahua can be reactive and we've had a hard time finding a place that will trim her nails without stress and a muzzle. Nancy is incredibly patient and gentle, I was literally floored that she is able to trim her nails safely without missing a beat.
Our dog Griffin is a mixed breed and this dog gets STINKY! He seriously starts to stink two days after normally getting a bath. Well, not after a bath at Sitting Pretty! Perfectly trimmed nails, too. It's worth every penny. Don't hesitate to take your beloved pet to this awesome, old-school pet salon.
I couldn’t be happier that I found this amazing groomer! They exceeded every expectation. I have a German Shepherd and she is in the middle of a shed and they really worked hard and took their time with her! She looks amazing. I highly recommend. I found my forever Groomer for my Ella! 🐶
I take my CAT here to get his nails trimmed. I walk in without an appointment, they take him right away and I have him back within 5 minutes. The price was excellent. And my cat seems to be happy. Thank you. We will be back.
Just picked up my dogs from their first groom and I’m so happy! I have a 6mo Sheepadoodle and a 6yr Dachshund/Cavalier mix and they look phenomenal! I’m so happy with this experience and I will become a regular client!

Call to BookFrequently Asked Questions About Cat Grooming
What should I expect during a professional cat grooming session?
A typical professional cat grooming session usually begins with a consultation to discuss your cat's needs. The groomer will then examine your cat's coat and skin condition before proceeding with services like brushing to remove loose fur, bathing with cat-specific shampoo, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and any specialized haircuts if needed. Most sessions take between 1-2 hours depending on your cat's coat condition and temperament.
How should I prepare my cat for a grooming appointment?
To prepare your cat for grooming, brush them at home a few days before to remove loose fur and minor tangles. Keep your cat in a secure carrier for transportation. Arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork and allow your cat time to adjust to the new environment. Bring information about your cat's health, temperament, and any areas they're sensitive about. For anxious cats, consider withholding food for 2-3 hours before the appointment to reduce the risk of stress-related nausea.
Why is professional cat grooming important?
Professional cat grooming is important for several reasons: it reduces shedding and hairballs, prevents painful matting, allows early detection of skin issues or parasites, keeps your cat's coat healthy and shiny, reduces dander (helpful for allergy sufferers), and maintains proper hygiene. Professional groomers have specialized tools, products, and techniques to safely handle cats, even those with behavioral challenges. Regular grooming also helps cats become more comfortable with handling, which is beneficial for veterinary visits.
How often should my cat be professionally groomed?
The frequency of professional grooming depends on your cat's coat type, length, and lifestyle. Long-haired breeds like Persians typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Medium-haired cats may need grooming every 6-8 weeks, while short-haired cats might only need professional attention every 8-12 weeks or during seasonal shedding periods. Cats with special conditions like obesity or arthritis that prevent self-grooming may need more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule based on your cat's specific needs.
What's the difference between cat and dog grooming?
Cat grooming differs significantly from dog grooming. Cats have more sensitive skin, requiring gentler handling and cat-specific products. Their grooming sessions are typically shorter to minimize stress. Cats often need specialized restraint techniques and quieter environments. Cat groomers use different tools designed for feline coats and are trained to recognize signs of stress unique to cats. Cat-only grooming facilities eliminate the anxiety many cats experience around dogs, creating a more comfortable experience for your feline friend.
