I have a special needs dog so having a mobile groomer come to my home works great for me and my girl. Samantha is amazing and patient with her. She does a beautiful job with her grooming and haircut! She always looks super cute and smells wonderful after her grooming. Samantha takes the extra time to put a cute bow in her hair, a bandanna around her neck, and take a cute photo of her after her beautification appointment!

Pawsitively Purrfect Mobile Pet Spa is by far the best grooming experience ever! They make it so easy for you by setting your fur baby up on a grooming schedule & they come to you! We have had the pleasure of having Kim as Linc’s groomer for over a year. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Pawsitively Purrfect is the best, they have helped make grooming easy for our dog Barkley. He has been groomed by the team there for over 5 years. He is a nervous nelly and Samantha is so calm and patient with him while being groomed, we are always happy with the results! Highly recommend!!

Honestly finding Jessica and Pawsitively Purrfect was the best thing that happened to us! We'd bounced around from groomer to groomer and just never felt we were getting our money's worth. Not only is it AMAZING that they come to you, but they do such an outstanding job (great cut - which is tough on an Australian Shepherd - great de-shedding, clean teeth, etc) and my dog is very comfortable around Samantha and in the van. These are things that we just weren't getting with our other groomers. Yes it's slightly more expensive than your other groomers but not only do you get what you pay for, you're also paying for them to come to your driveway, which removes the anxiety of the trip to the groomer for the dog AND is very convenient for you. I love them and so happy we found them last year!

I am SO HAPPY that I found Pawsitively Purrfect -- they are amazing!! My Shiba Inu never looked or smelled better. They pull up in front of your home and within an hour, your pet comes out happy and clean. We've been to other groomers that don't care that our pup doesn't like the hairdryer in his face. One girl told me that he's a dog, he should get used to it. They are very gentle and listen to what the dog likes. Our groomer actually told me that she will work a little more on his face since she has created trust with him. Too bad I can't give more than 5 stars!!

Recently, my longtime dog groomer closed her shop. We were at a lose. Due to our dog being vocal, easily stressed and scared of other dogs we knew going to a “traditional” would be difficult. I was referred to Pawsitively Purrfect Mobile Pet Spa by a family friend. I took the chance and filled out the waitlist. Fortunately, I was able to get my lab mix dog on the rotation. Having the groomer come to your house is the EASIEST. Our dog walked right out & up into the rig! Our dog returned smelling amazing and feeling so soft! We are now going to be regulars!

I have been using them for approx. 10 years. Kim is such a caring person and I trust her completely and would never want anyone else to groom Latte. I highly recommend them for pampering your pets.

Sam was very personable, knowledgeable & our cats' reaction to him, made us feel he definitely cared for these animals. At our previous groomer Quincy pooped 4-5 times during, with Sam....nothing! Quincy seemed relaxed, not as stressed & went right back to his normal routine directly after. I've already put in for my follow-up visit!

We've been using Pawsitively Purrfect for several years now and have always been very happy with the service. During the course of our relationship with them, our oldest dog Topher has become blind, deaf and very arthritic - our groomer Samantha has taken great care of him as he has aged. We also added a second dog, Buckley, to our family last year and they happily added him to our existing schedule. They always look and smell fantastic after their appointments and love getting to see Samantha!

Frequently Asked Questions About Cat Grooming

What should I expect during a professional cat grooming session?

A typical professional cat grooming session usually begins with a consultation to discuss your cat's needs. The groomer will then examine your cat's coat and skin condition before proceeding with services like brushing to remove loose fur, bathing with cat-specific shampoo, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and any specialized haircuts if needed. Most sessions take between 1-2 hours depending on your cat's coat condition and temperament.

How should I prepare my cat for a grooming appointment?

To prepare your cat for grooming, brush them at home a few days before to remove loose fur and minor tangles. Keep your cat in a secure carrier for transportation. Arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork and allow your cat time to adjust to the new environment. Bring information about your cat's health, temperament, and any areas they're sensitive about. For anxious cats, consider withholding food for 2-3 hours before the appointment to reduce the risk of stress-related nausea.

Why is professional cat grooming important?

Professional cat grooming is important for several reasons: it reduces shedding and hairballs, prevents painful matting, allows early detection of skin issues or parasites, keeps your cat's coat healthy and shiny, reduces dander (helpful for allergy sufferers), and maintains proper hygiene. Professional groomers have specialized tools, products, and techniques to safely handle cats, even those with behavioral challenges. Regular grooming also helps cats become more comfortable with handling, which is beneficial for veterinary visits.

How often should my cat be professionally groomed?

The frequency of professional grooming depends on your cat's coat type, length, and lifestyle. Long-haired breeds like Persians typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Medium-haired cats may need grooming every 6-8 weeks, while short-haired cats might only need professional attention every 8-12 weeks or during seasonal shedding periods. Cats with special conditions like obesity or arthritis that prevent self-grooming may need more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule based on your cat's specific needs.

What's the difference between cat and dog grooming?

Cat grooming differs significantly from dog grooming. Cats have more sensitive skin, requiring gentler handling and cat-specific products. Their grooming sessions are typically shorter to minimize stress. Cats often need specialized restraint techniques and quieter environments. Cat groomers use different tools designed for feline coats and are trained to recognize signs of stress unique to cats. Cat-only grooming facilities eliminate the anxiety many cats experience around dogs, creating a more comfortable experience for your feline friend.
