Many reviews highlight the cleanliness of the facility and the reasonable pricing, making it an appealing choice for pet grooming. Customers appreciate the personalized attention given to their pets, including tailoring grooming plans to ensure comfort, and the team’s ability to handle various breeds, including challenging ones like Austrian shepherds and nervous cats. Overall, customer satisfaction is extremely high, with many promising to return and recommending the groomer to others in the community.
Jess and her team were wonderful! The moment I walked in they were very inviting and sat down with me and my dog (Theia) to come up with a grooming plan. They took the time to get to know Theia so she could feel comfortable with them! I really appreciated that Jess and her team had dog houses for the dogs to go in while they waited, instead of dogs running all over the store. When I picked Theia up she looked absolutely stunning and smelled so good! I was so impressed how they groomed Theia and made her look beautiful. Austrian shepherds can be hard to groom and previously at other dog salons I have had terrible experiences with her being shaved down. Jess and her team trimmed her up so nice and made her pantaloons look so good! The place was so clean and well kept! Price was very reasonable to other places in the city. We will definitely be back!
If you're thinking of a new place to go, go here!! You will not regret taking your dog here. My bf and I just adopted a dog and we were nervous on how he would do and she assured us that she would go slow on him. We are very happy about she groomed him and we couldn't be any happier. I def will be coming back!! Here's a before and after.
Philly Floof is a welcome addition to the neighborhood! Jess and team took wonderful care of both my yorkie Yorkie mixes, one of which is a foster who is dog reactive. The prices were competitive, shop was very clean, and service was impeccable. I’ll definitely be a repeat customer. Highly recommend!
We were very nervous taking our kitty somewhere to be groomed for the first time, but had a wonderful experience!!! competitive pricing and treated Miso so well!!! We will be back!
We loved the experience Jess and team provided for my 5mo chorkie, Finn. It was his first groom and I needed all the basics done to clean him up a bit without traumatizing him. I was so happy to run into this new business. Jess was so kind and caring to Finn, making sure he was happy and comfortable the entire time. He was also trimmed in all the right places, cleaned up - not just shaved down like some places do- and came back looking handsome.
Met the owner before they opened when I was on a run. Took my pup Bodhi for the first time today and they were super nice and welcoming. They absolutely nailed the cut for Bodhi as well. He has never looked better. Super clean space and incredible staff. I just found my go-to groomer.
Jess and team did such an amazing job on my pup! Jess made him feel so comfortable and took the time to make the introduction with me and him before I left him. Cannot recommend them enough!!!
Biscuit and I had a WONDERFUL experience at Philly Floof! Jess and her team did a fantastic job and also took the time to sit with us and let Biscuit get to know them first, which was super helpful since he’s nervous around new people. It’s always a bit nerve wracking trying a new groomer, but I knew from the moment we walked in that he was good hands! Their shop is so so clean and we’re so happy they’re in the neighborhood! We’ll be coming back for sure :) THANK YOU!
Love how loved and cared for my dogs were at Philly Floof grooming during their grooming. The location is convenient and they do an amazing job! Even love the touch of bows on my girl!
Took my anxious rescue here and Jess was absolutely amazing with her! Nail clipping took all of 5 minutes, Jess was kind and patient, and my pup was as at ease as I’ve seen her at a groomer. Will definitely be back!

Call to BookFrequently Asked Questions About Cat Grooming
What should I expect during a professional cat grooming session?
A typical professional cat grooming session usually begins with a consultation to discuss your cat's needs. The groomer will then examine your cat's coat and skin condition before proceeding with services like brushing to remove loose fur, bathing with cat-specific shampoo, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and any specialized haircuts if needed. Most sessions take between 1-2 hours depending on your cat's coat condition and temperament.
How should I prepare my cat for a grooming appointment?
To prepare your cat for grooming, brush them at home a few days before to remove loose fur and minor tangles. Keep your cat in a secure carrier for transportation. Arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork and allow your cat time to adjust to the new environment. Bring information about your cat's health, temperament, and any areas they're sensitive about. For anxious cats, consider withholding food for 2-3 hours before the appointment to reduce the risk of stress-related nausea.
Why is professional cat grooming important?
Professional cat grooming is important for several reasons: it reduces shedding and hairballs, prevents painful matting, allows early detection of skin issues or parasites, keeps your cat's coat healthy and shiny, reduces dander (helpful for allergy sufferers), and maintains proper hygiene. Professional groomers have specialized tools, products, and techniques to safely handle cats, even those with behavioral challenges. Regular grooming also helps cats become more comfortable with handling, which is beneficial for veterinary visits.
How often should my cat be professionally groomed?
The frequency of professional grooming depends on your cat's coat type, length, and lifestyle. Long-haired breeds like Persians typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Medium-haired cats may need grooming every 6-8 weeks, while short-haired cats might only need professional attention every 8-12 weeks or during seasonal shedding periods. Cats with special conditions like obesity or arthritis that prevent self-grooming may need more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule based on your cat's specific needs.
What's the difference between cat and dog grooming?
Cat grooming differs significantly from dog grooming. Cats have more sensitive skin, requiring gentler handling and cat-specific products. Their grooming sessions are typically shorter to minimize stress. Cats often need specialized restraint techniques and quieter environments. Cat groomers use different tools designed for feline coats and are trained to recognize signs of stress unique to cats. Cat-only grooming facilities eliminate the anxiety many cats experience around dogs, creating a more comfortable experience for your feline friend.
