Reviews
Customer reviews for Zoomin Groomin reflect a polarized experience in terms of service quality and staff behavior. Some clients express high satisfaction with the grooming quality, noting that groomers like Jaliza and Malani treated their pets with care and provided excellent service. Positive reviews emphasize the staff’s ability to keep pets calm and comfortable, making the grooming process enjoyable for both pets and owners. However, other customers report significant frustrations, including poor communication, lack of respect from staff, and unsatisfactory handling of long-haired breeds, leading to a strong recommendation to avoid the service for certain types of pets. Overall, while some customers are very pleased with their experiences, others describe serious concerns that overshadow the positive feedback.
Jaliza did such an amazing job on my girl. She was quick and ensured that my cat was safe and comfortable throughout the process. I was very nervous as it was our first time with a groomer but Zoomin Groomin did not disappoint!
TL;DR long haired double coated dog owners stay away! The employees don't treat you with any respect and the owners don't care. They’re overbooked and try to cram as many clients in a single day as possible. Go with another business. We had booked these folks for a groom of two huskies. The intake form took a bit to before they’d even call you. You’re required to send them vaccination documents along with photos of each pet. Not a problem at all, so far so good. Then they called us to schedule the groom. This isn’t the first time we’ve used mobile groomers, regular groomers, or even self-groomed them ourselves. So, we’re very aware of how long each dog would take. We warned them how long each dog would take. Long haired husky is at least 3-4 hours of work and a normal short haired husky as 1 hour of work, with a minimum of 4-5 hours of work. We’re prepared to pay for a full day of service. They said the earlies availability was over a week away which we were fine with. They were scheduled originally to show up at 3pm which we then warned them again of how long the dogs would take and they said no problem. They let us know they'd be early at 2:30pm instead. Awesome, we work from home not a problem. The gentleman assigned, Johnny, showed up 2 hours late, around 4:30pm, which again isn't a big deal to us. However, 15 mins in, the guy tells us that one of the dogs has either “lice or fleas on their belly” and company policy says they have to stop immediately and pack everything up, then leave to sanitize and debug the vehicle. I know for a fact that getting a double coated long haired husky completely wet to the skin takes more than 15mins and for him to be able to see “lice or fleas” on his belly was a very VERY difficult thing to do. We asked him to show us, he said he’d dry him off a bit and would. Instead, he partially dried the dog, then took him out and then just left before ever showing us these “lice or fleas” on the dog’s belly. He left before 5pm. There are 3 pets in this household and the community uses the same private dog parks. If any of them had lice or fleas EVERYONE would have lice or fleas in this area. Especially the 3 pets in this household. Also, any pet owner would know that lice and fleas do not like double coated animals as much as the single coated ones. They especially hate animals with mattes in them. It’s not impossible for it, but it is highly unlikely, and both the short haired dog and short haired cat would also have lice or fleas. However, none of these pets do. We checked all three pets immediately and did not find a single dropping from lice or fleas, nor did we find a single bug on them. I wanted to double check before calling bs and writing this review. If Johnny had run out of time and had a long day. I completely understanding not wanting to continue the rest of the day. But instead of lying and saying that your dog has “lice or fleas on his belly”, he just had to say, “we’re sorry the day got away and we need to reschedule”. Completely would have understand that and would have sympathized. We were prepared to tip very well to the gentleman because we know how long it takes to bathe huskies and then dry them. I was hoping this place was a reputable business with the logo wrapped vans that looked in decent shape compared to some of the other mobile groomers that I've seen but sadly it's not. We were testing the water and will not be doing any business with them. If you have a long haired double coated dog, stay away from here! Find someone else! I really wanted to like them, but this was an infuriating experience and a huge disappointment. My pets are my children, and they deserve better than this place.
The last time we used Zoomin Groomin we had a great experience, Chris was punctual and communicated before and during our 75 lbs doodles' appointment. At that appointment he was HEAVLY matted all over and needed a to be completely shaved . He let me know it was going to be about 3 hours and he ended up taking only 2-2.5 hrs. I booked again so I could get our dog in before his entire body was matted - with the exception of behind the ears and neck area. There was a cancelation and I was squeezed in to the 3:45-4:45 arrival time slot. I received a text at 2:59 stating " Just a little heads up may be a little late and can send you and ETA asap" to which I replied " ok no problem" . I wasn't given an eta asap so I messaged " just wondering what the eta is " at 4:06 pm. At 4:52 I was told 5:15-5:30 , the Zoomin Groomin van pulled in front of my house at 5:43 which I can confirm via my ring camera. After getting the van parked in a good spot I met with Jessica. Her eyes were glassy and she seemed a little spacey but was kind. We discussed the grooming of my Sheepadoodle, I made her aware that he was matted around his neck and ears but his body should brush through ok and that she would take about half the length and she said that he " looked well brushed and would only take 1.5-2 hours. She also made it a point to bad mouth Chris - the previous groomer that had come before- stating she wouldn't work for the company if he did-which I didn't understand the relevance. At 7:29 pm I messaged " How's he doing" with no response. I walked to the van and knocked at 9 pm . She slid the door open and he hadn't had a bath yet and was still cutting his hair down. She kept shoving the clippers into his fur saying " see he's really matted" and I said so why didn't you call or text me when you started finding more matts than discussed HOURS ago. At this point she had already been there for 3 hours ?!? and didn't think to let me know anything so we could reassess. She told me she was about 70% done and started talking to me about a million up charges and add ons for extra hours telling me all about how her company does things- which I responded I've used you guys before and I'm a returning customer and that my dog was completely shaved down before and it was done before the 3hour mark- which we already spoke about because she talked about her coworker. I said " just finish what you're doing I guess " which she took to mean " just start shaving my dog down to the skin. " I had to call Alex, who she said was her boss to tell him what was going on at 9:10 pm. My husband was fed up by 10:45 pm and walked to the van to get our dog. She told him she wasn't even halfway done and he let her know that WE were done , our dog was exhausted and choking from being to tight on pole hooked around his neck . My husband walked away from the van with our dog without even grabbing his collar or leash because he was fuming . When I saw our dog she had started shaving him completely down which is not what we discussed when she told me she was " 70% done" - it is what I told her she should have told me hours ago when she ran into a problem if that was the case. Our poor dog drank 4 bowls of water and had such bad blood shot eyes from lack of oxygen for the last 5 hours. There is no way to make this right , we do not want Jennifer or anyone from Zoomin Groomin coming near our dog or our house. We are not unreasonable people, we know what happens if a doodle gets matted and sometimes theres nothing to do but an entire shave down, but the lack of communication makes me sick to my stomach. I am 6 months pregnant and I can't stay up till midnight worrying about my dog in a mobile groomer van. I have given them my husbands number and no one has reached out , we received a text apology yesterday and that is all. I am absolutely horrified at this situtation.
I always LOVE using Zoomin Groomin for my dog Milo. He is a papillon/ daushund mix and always needs to be shaved and nail trims. Brittney did an amazing job as usual with my baby. They are kind, take great care of your pet and all on the comfort of your own front drive. I won’t use anyone else! Thank you so much and I highly recommend Them!
Great service from Malani today for our two cats. Wow she did a wonderful job with everything especially the shave and bath. Both cats were as calm as I have seen them during grooming. She definitely has a way with animals. Highly recommend!

Call to BookFrequently Asked Questions About Cat Grooming
What should I expect during a professional cat grooming session?
A typical professional cat grooming session usually begins with a consultation to discuss your cat's needs. The groomer will then examine your cat's coat and skin condition before proceeding with services like brushing to remove loose fur, bathing with cat-specific shampoo, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and any specialized haircuts if needed. Most sessions take between 1-2 hours depending on your cat's coat condition and temperament.
How should I prepare my cat for a grooming appointment?
To prepare your cat for grooming, brush them at home a few days before to remove loose fur and minor tangles. Keep your cat in a secure carrier for transportation. Arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork and allow your cat time to adjust to the new environment. Bring information about your cat's health, temperament, and any areas they're sensitive about. For anxious cats, consider withholding food for 2-3 hours before the appointment to reduce the risk of stress-related nausea.
Why is professional cat grooming important?
Professional cat grooming is important for several reasons: it reduces shedding and hairballs, prevents painful matting, allows early detection of skin issues or parasites, keeps your cat's coat healthy and shiny, reduces dander (helpful for allergy sufferers), and maintains proper hygiene. Professional groomers have specialized tools, products, and techniques to safely handle cats, even those with behavioral challenges. Regular grooming also helps cats become more comfortable with handling, which is beneficial for veterinary visits.
How often should my cat be professionally groomed?
The frequency of professional grooming depends on your cat's coat type, length, and lifestyle. Long-haired breeds like Persians typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Medium-haired cats may need grooming every 6-8 weeks, while short-haired cats might only need professional attention every 8-12 weeks or during seasonal shedding periods. Cats with special conditions like obesity or arthritis that prevent self-grooming may need more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule based on your cat's specific needs.
What's the difference between cat and dog grooming?
Cat grooming differs significantly from dog grooming. Cats have more sensitive skin, requiring gentler handling and cat-specific products. Their grooming sessions are typically shorter to minimize stress. Cats often need specialized restraint techniques and quieter environments. Cat groomers use different tools designed for feline coats and are trained to recognize signs of stress unique to cats. Cat-only grooming facilities eliminate the anxiety many cats experience around dogs, creating a more comfortable experience for your feline friend.
