Crystal takes such amazing care of our Cavs when they come in for their grooming appointment. They drag me through the door to get to her and always leave looking great and feeling happy!
My first experience with Crystal was amazing! She’s very friendly and I can tell she treated my puppy with lots of love. I absolutely trust that she can handle my energetic pup. I will definitely be coming back to Crystal for another grooming in the future. Edit: 3/27/24 - I’ve gone to Crystal at least 3 times now. Every time it’s been nothing but amazing! Jax absolutely adores Crystal, he gets so excited when we go and loves to get his grooming here! ❤️
Crystal groomed two of my family’s dogs for over 10 years - exceptional care for dogs and grooming!
Absolutely incredible people that truly care about your animals. We live in Arkansas and come to Minnesota yearly, and we make sure to bring our dogs to Crystal every single trip. Just absolutely wonderful service and people and overall 2000/10!
We took our mini schnauzer to Crystal yesterday and they were so great with him! They made him feel at ease and he had a great time and not only that but the cut was great and the price was quite affordable compared to some other city groomers! Thank you Crystal we will definitely be back!
When my father passed away almost 3 yrs ago we inherited his Standard Party Poodle, Stormy, my fur brother. We had no idea the work and cost that goes into maintaining a poodle as my father lived in Houston so Stormy was always just beautiful when we got there. I went to a few groomers before I found Crystal. She is the best! She always does an excellent job with Storm! She also lets us experiment with Stormys looks. Never complains. She has fun with him and he has become a part of her family. We just took him to a local chain for a face, feet and sanitary cut recently since I couldn’t get into see Crystal. Poos tend to get real smelly in the mouth area if not groomed frequently or properly. Well they did a horrible job and that’s why I just can’t do without Crystal! She is A-MAZE-ING!! I trust her with my fur brother and that’s a big deal!! ❤️
I was very pleased with Pet scape Grooming. My dog gets very nervous in new environments, they were quick and very thorough with his grooming.
Crystal is AWESOME. I adopted an adult dog who was frightened of a previous groomer I brought him to, and doesn't love going to the groomer or vet in general. Crystal took the time to let him get accustomed to the grooming environment, and he didn't have to wear a muzzle and he wasn't extremely frightened. He seemed really relaxed and not on edge after the groom, too, and he looks great! If you have an animal that doesn't love grooming (or strangers), Petscape might be a good fit for you.
Crystal is great! She deals with my crazy cat and doesn't complain about his bad behavior at all. She is accommodating and professional. My kitty has been back for 3 cuts with her and we are happy every time.
We brought our cat to Petscape Grooming today. She was a bit scared and apprehensive about getting a grooming. We had got her from the humane society but pretty sure from her past, she hadn't been groomed before. Crystal was amazing. She was patient and caring and worked with our kitty to get the most she could done as far as grooming. Our kitty couldn't do the bath, but she got a lot of things done that we asked for like nails and ears and her backend which needed some attention. I really appreciated her knowing our kitties limit and what she could handle and not. Will be taking our cats there in the future. Great love and care for our kitty at this place. We love our pets and they do too! Great job and worth a chance for your pet too!

Call to BookFrequently Asked Questions About Cat Grooming
What should I expect during a professional cat grooming session?
A typical professional cat grooming session usually begins with a consultation to discuss your cat's needs. The groomer will then examine your cat's coat and skin condition before proceeding with services like brushing to remove loose fur, bathing with cat-specific shampoo, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and any specialized haircuts if needed. Most sessions take between 1-2 hours depending on your cat's coat condition and temperament.
How should I prepare my cat for a grooming appointment?
To prepare your cat for grooming, brush them at home a few days before to remove loose fur and minor tangles. Keep your cat in a secure carrier for transportation. Arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork and allow your cat time to adjust to the new environment. Bring information about your cat's health, temperament, and any areas they're sensitive about. For anxious cats, consider withholding food for 2-3 hours before the appointment to reduce the risk of stress-related nausea.
Why is professional cat grooming important?
Professional cat grooming is important for several reasons: it reduces shedding and hairballs, prevents painful matting, allows early detection of skin issues or parasites, keeps your cat's coat healthy and shiny, reduces dander (helpful for allergy sufferers), and maintains proper hygiene. Professional groomers have specialized tools, products, and techniques to safely handle cats, even those with behavioral challenges. Regular grooming also helps cats become more comfortable with handling, which is beneficial for veterinary visits.
How often should my cat be professionally groomed?
The frequency of professional grooming depends on your cat's coat type, length, and lifestyle. Long-haired breeds like Persians typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Medium-haired cats may need grooming every 6-8 weeks, while short-haired cats might only need professional attention every 8-12 weeks or during seasonal shedding periods. Cats with special conditions like obesity or arthritis that prevent self-grooming may need more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule based on your cat's specific needs.
What's the difference between cat and dog grooming?
Cat grooming differs significantly from dog grooming. Cats have more sensitive skin, requiring gentler handling and cat-specific products. Their grooming sessions are typically shorter to minimize stress. Cats often need specialized restraint techniques and quieter environments. Cat groomers use different tools designed for feline coats and are trained to recognize signs of stress unique to cats. Cat-only grooming facilities eliminate the anxiety many cats experience around dogs, creating a more comfortable experience for your feline friend.
