Absolutely LOVE this adorable puppy wash! Bought a membership as soon as I walked in! I will be back with my doggo! Love how well thought out the details are down to the cute doggie aprons and puppy ear muffs!

My doodle has been going here for least 4-5 grooms. Our previous place started making us come in every 8-12 weeks and that was a bit much. His hair was barely grown out. Bubbly Paws have always exceeded our expectations of how they take care of our doodle and how we like him to be cut. They are very accommodating and love how they have multiple locations for quick and easy on the book appointments.

I’ve been taking my dog to Bubbly Paws for 7 years. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The groomers are all wonderful. I feel comfortable leaving my baby in their care. They listen to what you want and are always on time with the appointments. Highly recommended.

The self service dog wash was easy to use. The staff was friendly and the variety of shampoo and conditioners are great. We opted for the deshedding shampoo conditioner and they also provided a deshedding tool. The place was very clean and user friendly. My dog was happy and shiny after our visit. We will definitely be using this more often. It's so convenient and there's no clean up left for me to do.

I’ve used bubbly paws in SLP a handful of times for their self-wash services. This last weekend, i had my golden retriever groomed here for the first time. Despite said miscommunication of preferences, the work performed on my golden reflects a lack of care and consideration for the way they allow their grooming clients to leave the salon. I paid over $100 for my services and was told that this was a matter of miscommunication. Despite this, the work provided was awful. No apology, no offered refund, etc. i will no longer bring my business here due to this. If you have a golden, i suggest you go elsewhere to avoid this.

Super-affordable and affordable DIY dog/pet grooming business in beautiful St. Louis Park, MN. Give your pooch the spa treatment in one of their stand-up tubs. Eliminates the chaos and mess of the home bath. When your done bathing, you get a stack of drying towels and then you can lead your best pal into the DIY drying area for the full blow dry before you get back in the car. The friendly staff usually offer your pet a treat on the way out. Perfect for in-between professional hair cuts.

I love this place. I have an Aussie mix that sheds like no other. I give him shedding baths and blow out tons of fur every six weeks. The stand up tubs, harness clips and smocks make the experience a whole lot better. He loves the treat at the end. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

I love Bubbly Paws in SLP! Jordon, our favorite stylist, does an amazing job grooming my two little poodle mixes (a Schnoodle and a Yorkie-Cockapoo)! I do wish this location was closer to downtown and more reasonably priced like the Chicago Groomers we would go to, but hey, pretty everything in Minneapolis is much more expensive than Chicago...go figure! We tried taking our boys to a new place downtown and they just did an awful job! they didn't listen at all to what we wanted done. Jordan always listens and she really is talented!

Professional and courteous and excellent with my dog who is shy and a little scared because she is a puppy mill rescue. They do a fantastic job of grooming - my golden retriever looks fabulous. They trimmed her feet and fur expertly and brushed her beautifully. Impressed with their excellent service. This is my go-to groomer without a doubt. Highly recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cat Grooming

What should I expect during a professional cat grooming session?

A typical professional cat grooming session usually begins with a consultation to discuss your cat's needs. The groomer will then examine your cat's coat and skin condition before proceeding with services like brushing to remove loose fur, bathing with cat-specific shampoo, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and any specialized haircuts if needed. Most sessions take between 1-2 hours depending on your cat's coat condition and temperament.

How should I prepare my cat for a grooming appointment?

To prepare your cat for grooming, brush them at home a few days before to remove loose fur and minor tangles. Keep your cat in a secure carrier for transportation. Arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork and allow your cat time to adjust to the new environment. Bring information about your cat's health, temperament, and any areas they're sensitive about. For anxious cats, consider withholding food for 2-3 hours before the appointment to reduce the risk of stress-related nausea.

Why is professional cat grooming important?

Professional cat grooming is important for several reasons: it reduces shedding and hairballs, prevents painful matting, allows early detection of skin issues or parasites, keeps your cat's coat healthy and shiny, reduces dander (helpful for allergy sufferers), and maintains proper hygiene. Professional groomers have specialized tools, products, and techniques to safely handle cats, even those with behavioral challenges. Regular grooming also helps cats become more comfortable with handling, which is beneficial for veterinary visits.

How often should my cat be professionally groomed?

The frequency of professional grooming depends on your cat's coat type, length, and lifestyle. Long-haired breeds like Persians typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Medium-haired cats may need grooming every 6-8 weeks, while short-haired cats might only need professional attention every 8-12 weeks or during seasonal shedding periods. Cats with special conditions like obesity or arthritis that prevent self-grooming may need more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule based on your cat's specific needs.

What's the difference between cat and dog grooming?

Cat grooming differs significantly from dog grooming. Cats have more sensitive skin, requiring gentler handling and cat-specific products. Their grooming sessions are typically shorter to minimize stress. Cats often need specialized restraint techniques and quieter environments. Cat groomers use different tools designed for feline coats and are trained to recognize signs of stress unique to cats. Cat-only grooming facilities eliminate the anxiety many cats experience around dogs, creating a more comfortable experience for your feline friend.
