Reviews
Overall, customers express high satisfaction with Petiquette, praising the quality of service, the warmth of the staff, and the care provided to their pets. Many reviewers highlight the personalized attention their dogs receive, noting that staff members like Jen, Jackie, and Samantha go above and beyond to ensure a positive grooming and boarding experience, especially for nervous or first-time pets. Customers appreciate the timely and effective grooming services, along with the updates and communication they receive while their pets are cared for. However, one reviewer did express disappointment, citing a lack of thoroughness in grooming for a high price, which contrasts with the overwhelmingly positive feedback from others.
How fortunate are we to have a place for our fur babies to get pampered and cared for Jennifer & Jackie are always available and go en extra mile to accommodate us when we needed to. Most of all Dante loves his people here. I tried to take him to other places in Boston but this is the only place where he actually is happy and very comfortable to go to. He loves Jackie & comes back so happy🥰 Thanks Jennifer for everything you do.
I have been taking my new puppy to Petiquette for the last four months since we got him and have had such a great experience! Jen and her team have really shown care to us and do a great job with the groom on top of that. Bringing a new puppy to the groomers can be stressful as you want them to have a good experience off the bat. Jen was very welcoming when we wanted to bring Harvey in before his first appointment to socialize him to the new environment as well as Jen and her team, who were so kind and even gave him a little nail trim during his visit! He has had three grooms since then and each one is better and better! They always let us know how he does with each appointment, and they have the patience to work with him as the grooming process is still pretty new! He was having a bad morning when I dropped him off at Petiquette after getting spooked on a walk, but when I picked him up he was all smiles and happy. Samantha did a great job with his most recent groom pictured, and we can’t wait for his next appointment!
We’ve been using Petiquette for a couple years now for dog sitting when we go out of town for our dog Charlie and have always had a great experience! Alison usually watches him and she sends us pictures and updates while we are gone and he comes home so happy and loved! I never worry about him when we’re gone because I know he’s been taken care of so well! We had a last minute trip come up this summer and Jen was able to accommodate us without a problem with only a couple weeks notice. I’m so grateful we found Petiquette for Charlie, it takes so much stress away knowing we have such great and reliable people taking care of him while we are away.
The best place for dog groom in Boston! Convenient location, friendly staff, and they do an excellent job caring for our pup. He always leaves squeaky clean and with a couple toys/ treats as well :) We love This place and will only go here for dog grooming service! Thanks Jennifer and team!
You'd think it was a spa day for my dog, Gus, who had his first-ever grooming session! The groomer was friendly and sat down with me to chat about what I envisioned for Gus's new 'do, making sure we were on the same page. And let me tell you, Gus came out looking so dapper, I'm considering asking him for fashion advice. Hats off to the grooming magic - Gus is turning heads and wagging tails like never before!
So happy we found Petiquette! They do an amazing job grooming my bernedoodle, and they always have her done within like 2 hours, which is pretty unheard of for most groomers. Super friendly staff + cute boutique shop inside!
My dog and I have repeatedly had the best experiences at Petiquette, I am always sure to recommend them to all of my fellow non-shedding dog parents. Jess always spends time grooming Lola to give her the best cut. Whenever I pick her up she’s all smiles, and has clearly had a great grooming experience. Prices are great, I highly recommend the team at Petiquette!
I am always nervous with finding groomers for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, but Petiquette did an amazing job. Samantha took such good care of our dog. I was particularly impressed how she knew the look of the breed, doing a beautiful job on her ears while also trimming appropriately her longer hair. Prudence was in the best mood when we picked her up, and several days later she still looks fantastic. We also had to reschedule a few times, but Jen was so understanding and able to squeeze us in. We can’t wait to bring her back in several weeks!
Didn’t even wash or groom my dog. They cleaned half his body and trimmed under his belly that was it! And it cost $100. Extremely disappointed in comparison to my previous groomers
Can’t say enough good things about Jen and Petiquette Boutique. My Germany Shepard/husky mix is naturally very shy around new people and Jen had her very calm and comfortable in a matter of seconds! Amazing grooming job very sweet person. Best spot in Boston!

Call to BookFrequently Asked Questions About Cat Grooming
What should I expect during a professional cat grooming session?
A typical professional cat grooming session usually begins with a consultation to discuss your cat's needs. The groomer will then examine your cat's coat and skin condition before proceeding with services like brushing to remove loose fur, bathing with cat-specific shampoo, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and any specialized haircuts if needed. Most sessions take between 1-2 hours depending on your cat's coat condition and temperament.
How should I prepare my cat for a grooming appointment?
To prepare your cat for grooming, brush them at home a few days before to remove loose fur and minor tangles. Keep your cat in a secure carrier for transportation. Arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork and allow your cat time to adjust to the new environment. Bring information about your cat's health, temperament, and any areas they're sensitive about. For anxious cats, consider withholding food for 2-3 hours before the appointment to reduce the risk of stress-related nausea.
Why is professional cat grooming important?
Professional cat grooming is important for several reasons: it reduces shedding and hairballs, prevents painful matting, allows early detection of skin issues or parasites, keeps your cat's coat healthy and shiny, reduces dander (helpful for allergy sufferers), and maintains proper hygiene. Professional groomers have specialized tools, products, and techniques to safely handle cats, even those with behavioral challenges. Regular grooming also helps cats become more comfortable with handling, which is beneficial for veterinary visits.
How often should my cat be professionally groomed?
The frequency of professional grooming depends on your cat's coat type, length, and lifestyle. Long-haired breeds like Persians typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Medium-haired cats may need grooming every 6-8 weeks, while short-haired cats might only need professional attention every 8-12 weeks or during seasonal shedding periods. Cats with special conditions like obesity or arthritis that prevent self-grooming may need more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule based on your cat's specific needs.
What's the difference between cat and dog grooming?
Cat grooming differs significantly from dog grooming. Cats have more sensitive skin, requiring gentler handling and cat-specific products. Their grooming sessions are typically shorter to minimize stress. Cats often need specialized restraint techniques and quieter environments. Cat groomers use different tools designed for feline coats and are trained to recognize signs of stress unique to cats. Cat-only grooming facilities eliminate the anxiety many cats experience around dogs, creating a more comfortable experience for your feline friend.
