I’ve taken my toy poodle, Juice, here since he got his last round of required shots (about 4 1/2 months). He had his first groom here which was a mini groom to get him acclimated (her recommendation, which I agree with because who wants to scare their pup on the 1st groom). After, Juice has been groomed fully groomed once and has stayed 2 nights, 3 days for boarding when I went for my Masters graduation in TX. (he also got a free wash before pick up). Each time, I’ve been satisfied by her warming nature, knowledge, and compassion for pups. Also, she has her own two small breed pups that she brings with her to work and Juice loves to play with them. She has forever customers with us.
Great place to get your dog groomed! My dog always comes back looking and smelling nice. She must be gentle because my dog doesn’t mind going. This is also a good place to go if you have a doodle. A lot of other places will up charge saying your doodle has mats or whatever. We haven’t had that issue at Groomie.
Groomie is always an amazing experience for me and my dog. I feel safe leaving my dog here for short or long periods. Thanks always❣️
Very good groomer - very pleased with their services I would come back again every time my fur baby needs good haircut
I love love love Tahrea! She has been grooming my pup Cali for 3 years. Cali has NEVER allowed me to leave her to get groomed. I would always get a call to come back and pick her up. Once I found Tahrea, she has built a trust with Cali and I no longer worry about getting a call to come pick her up with no groom done. Cali still isn't a fan of going, but she knows exactly who Tahrea is and allows her to do her thing. Cali always comes home fresh. I love how she always gives her bows and a bandana. Her cuts are always clean and even. Thank you Tahrea for always being a loving and trusting place for my Cali.

Call to BookFrequently Asked Questions About Cat Grooming
What should I expect during a professional cat grooming session?
A typical professional cat grooming session usually begins with a consultation to discuss your cat's needs. The groomer will then examine your cat's coat and skin condition before proceeding with services like brushing to remove loose fur, bathing with cat-specific shampoo, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and any specialized haircuts if needed. Most sessions take between 1-2 hours depending on your cat's coat condition and temperament.
How should I prepare my cat for a grooming appointment?
To prepare your cat for grooming, brush them at home a few days before to remove loose fur and minor tangles. Keep your cat in a secure carrier for transportation. Arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork and allow your cat time to adjust to the new environment. Bring information about your cat's health, temperament, and any areas they're sensitive about. For anxious cats, consider withholding food for 2-3 hours before the appointment to reduce the risk of stress-related nausea.
Why is professional cat grooming important?
Professional cat grooming is important for several reasons: it reduces shedding and hairballs, prevents painful matting, allows early detection of skin issues or parasites, keeps your cat's coat healthy and shiny, reduces dander (helpful for allergy sufferers), and maintains proper hygiene. Professional groomers have specialized tools, products, and techniques to safely handle cats, even those with behavioral challenges. Regular grooming also helps cats become more comfortable with handling, which is beneficial for veterinary visits.
How often should my cat be professionally groomed?
The frequency of professional grooming depends on your cat's coat type, length, and lifestyle. Long-haired breeds like Persians typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Medium-haired cats may need grooming every 6-8 weeks, while short-haired cats might only need professional attention every 8-12 weeks or during seasonal shedding periods. Cats with special conditions like obesity or arthritis that prevent self-grooming may need more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule based on your cat's specific needs.
What's the difference between cat and dog grooming?
Cat grooming differs significantly from dog grooming. Cats have more sensitive skin, requiring gentler handling and cat-specific products. Their grooming sessions are typically shorter to minimize stress. Cats often need specialized restraint techniques and quieter environments. Cat groomers use different tools designed for feline coats and are trained to recognize signs of stress unique to cats. Cat-only grooming facilities eliminate the anxiety many cats experience around dogs, creating a more comfortable experience for your feline friend.
