We have been taking our dog here for over five years. We always had a good experience until our last two visits. One visit our dog came back scalped and looked like a hairless chicken and this time around we got charged $250 for a hair cut. Since when do groomers charge you for your dog being somewhat curly, when they have to use scissors, or because he hasn’t been in 8 weeks. Since when is using scissors not part of the groom? And an up-charge for curly? Our dog isn’t even curly. See photo. Add in the fact they say he was matted. I spent an hour the night before brushing him because this is always a concern. But $90 because MAYBE he had a few matts?!? Never again… you lost our business.

Jazzy Pawz has been grooming my baby since he was old enough to start getting groomed. I am extremely sad about having to find another groomer due to relocating out of state. I hope to find someone as caring & patient as the Jazzy Team. I get anxious about leaving him with people but I never worried about him in their hands. Tips to new clients please don’t rush them if if it’s taking longer than usual it’s probably due to your fur baby being stressed & they are taking their time. My baby use to take a little longer when he first started but the more he went he got use to it & it made the service easier for both him and the groomer. If Andrea is booked please go see Tyra. We will miss this team so much !

Cherri is such a great groomer and a sweet person! My pup is always happier and more relaxed after a spa day. I know that’s due to Cherri’s approach. Highly recommend!

I visited Jazzy Paws by Andrea when I came on vacation to Atlanta because I was told by a friend here where I live in Ohio that she is A1 in pet grooming, the last pet groomer that I went to was not accurate and organized like this place she treated my dog with care, love and respect, as if my dog was her own family! I would definitely recommend this company to groom my dog again, and this company will be the only pet grooming Company I use when I come back to Atlanta! Keep up the Awesome work Andrea! Thanks again!

My puppies wore a full top not/pony tail and I wanted it to get longer before taking her for a groom so that I could get as close to my desired style as possible. I provided pictures of the look that I wanted and when i picked her up while she did look very pretty she did not have a ponytail she received and big chop. I was advised that her top hair was not cut and that it needed to grow. When I sent them pictures they realized that it was cut. I was advised that the owner would take us in to correct the botchy cut on my puppies body although she cant do anything about the pony tail and a refund was not an option which i understand. I took the appt and asked for my puppy to have color added to her paws tail and head. Head couldn't be colored due to the color mind you the white was chopped off by the groomer 2 weeks ago. after it was all said and done Andrea charged me for the color and the grooming. If she was coloring her then why not groom for free since your people botched her anyway and if not free how about at a discount. Ill pay full price for the color. I even asked if she could reduce the grooming price or wave the grooming fee but she refused. She didn't even take the opportunity to address any of my issues herself she had a member of her staff to communicate. She made the coat of my puppy better but took the fullness from her paw and of course nothing we can do about the ponytail. In my opinion she is all about the dollar. i will never go back. Not sure how she won anything considering her poor attention to detail. Staff was very nice but the groomer Stephanie couldn't cut a dolls hair let along my sweet puppy and Andrea seems to have her head in the clouds and is anchored by money I guess, like I said she never gave me any personal attention or conversation. 1st photo is a month before the unrequested chop, the next 3 are after and mind you she looks well groomed but not what I wanted and the last 2 are the photos of what I wanted to get close to but obviously got what the groomer wanted me to have.

My husband and I love taking our dog to India’s Elegant Tails at Jazzy Pawz! India always does a great job keeping our fur baby pampered and so handsome! She is also great about communication when it comes to picking him up once he’s ready (even sending us some adorable photos of him like these) as well as making sure he’s groomed how we like! We always know our good boy is in great hands here! Thanks India!

I’m so thrilled with our experience at Jazzy Pawz! My yorkie (6 yo) looks like a puppy again, and I can tell they really took their time with him. They kept him calm and happy and he looks absolutely precious. Can’t wait to come back and treat my pup, you can’t beat this grooming service for the price- but to have the quality and care on top of it is truly special!

They were AWESOME! My Golden Doodle was heavily matted & is not well behaved when around strangers. Jazzy Pawz was patient, gentle and did an excellent job communicating with me throughout the grooming session. I highly recommend them to all dog owners!

Jazzy Pawz does an excellent job!!! We have been here a few times and they did a great job on our Australian Shepard every time. Not too long not too short, just right. (And matched what we asked for). He is so clean and soft. The staff has always been so friendly and asks us all about what we want, and communicates throughout the appointment. They seemed knowledgeable about the usual practice for this breed. In my experience the easiest thing to do is show some pictures of what you want.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cat Grooming

What should I expect during a professional cat grooming session?

A typical professional cat grooming session usually begins with a consultation to discuss your cat's needs. The groomer will then examine your cat's coat and skin condition before proceeding with services like brushing to remove loose fur, bathing with cat-specific shampoo, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and any specialized haircuts if needed. Most sessions take between 1-2 hours depending on your cat's coat condition and temperament.

How should I prepare my cat for a grooming appointment?

To prepare your cat for grooming, brush them at home a few days before to remove loose fur and minor tangles. Keep your cat in a secure carrier for transportation. Arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork and allow your cat time to adjust to the new environment. Bring information about your cat's health, temperament, and any areas they're sensitive about. For anxious cats, consider withholding food for 2-3 hours before the appointment to reduce the risk of stress-related nausea.

Why is professional cat grooming important?

Professional cat grooming is important for several reasons: it reduces shedding and hairballs, prevents painful matting, allows early detection of skin issues or parasites, keeps your cat's coat healthy and shiny, reduces dander (helpful for allergy sufferers), and maintains proper hygiene. Professional groomers have specialized tools, products, and techniques to safely handle cats, even those with behavioral challenges. Regular grooming also helps cats become more comfortable with handling, which is beneficial for veterinary visits.

How often should my cat be professionally groomed?

The frequency of professional grooming depends on your cat's coat type, length, and lifestyle. Long-haired breeds like Persians typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Medium-haired cats may need grooming every 6-8 weeks, while short-haired cats might only need professional attention every 8-12 weeks or during seasonal shedding periods. Cats with special conditions like obesity or arthritis that prevent self-grooming may need more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule based on your cat's specific needs.

What's the difference between cat and dog grooming?

Cat grooming differs significantly from dog grooming. Cats have more sensitive skin, requiring gentler handling and cat-specific products. Their grooming sessions are typically shorter to minimize stress. Cats often need specialized restraint techniques and quieter environments. Cat groomers use different tools designed for feline coats and are trained to recognize signs of stress unique to cats. Cat-only grooming facilities eliminate the anxiety many cats experience around dogs, creating a more comfortable experience for your feline friend.
