Groom in West Hollywood is hands down the best grooming and daycare facility in LA! My Portuguese Water Dog, Winston, absolutely loves spending time there, whether it's for daycare or a grooming session. The staff is incredibly caring, attentive, and truly treats every dog like their own. The grooming services are top-notch—Winston always comes back looking perfect, and I trust them completely to keep him comfortable and well cared for. The daycare is just as fantastic; Winston gets plenty of playtime, socialization, and comes home happy and well-exercised. It's clear that the team at Groom genuinely loves what they do, and it makes all the difference. If you're looking for a place where your pup will be loved, pampered, and well cared for, look no further. Highly recommend!
I HAD TO WRITE A REVIEW - occasionally a business does such a great job, does what their name says, you have to write something, because you're so happy with the service. Firstly, it's the best grooming my dog, Mouse, has ever had. He's part husky and cattle dog, so you know what this fur is like(!), what the shedding is like, and the groomer has a special reverse brushing technique that thins the undercoat, without cutting, and really cooled him off. Plus he hates being groomed and somehow they bewitched him and he loved it. On top of this, I had him stay at Day Care, where he immediately made about five best friends! The proof of all this, if you really, really, really love your furry friend is how they are when you pick them up-- Mouse went into "let me tell you all about it," his happy gear. And now when I pull up outside the gate - easiest drop off and pick up ever- he's out of the car, at the little blue wooden gate, wagging his tail, waiting for me to ring the bell. If that's not a RINGING or TAIL-WAGGING ENDORSEMENT, I don't know what is!! Plus, he's never been softer. I love this place. Which isn't surprising since Toni, the owner said succinctly, "I do this because I love dogs." Just a happy, great place, where they Groom and Care for your dog With Love.
I can’t say enough good things about Groom, and in particular Ben, who took care of my beloved and very feisty girl for about 6 years. Ben is a saint - the only groomer with enough patience and compassion to handle my little rescue who came from a background of abuse and could be difficult to care for as a result. With Groom, she always came back so happy and excited to show off her beautiful new haircut - remarkably quickly too, as opposed to other groomers who seem to take hours to get the job done. Groom is the top dog groomer’s in LA for a reason. It’s not the cheapest option, but it’s worth every single penny - easy to schedule with, so clean and safe, and everyone who works there is kind and competent. Thank you to all at Groom for the many happy years of care you provided us 💛
Groom Dog Care with Love is the best EVER!!! They give the best baths ever- my Pom always comes out looking like a million bucks! The staff is amazing and takes the best care of my fur baby. He also LOVES spending the day at their day care service. They take great care of him during day care and are always accommodating. Definitely GO to Groom Dog Care with Love!!
I don’t normally take the time to write reviews, but Groom deserves to be praised and shouted from the rooftops! My first doggies ever had their best cuts here and now my 2nd generation doggies get their most amazing puppy cuts and doggy daycare for those extra busy days where I just can’t work and be puppy mommy! Everyone is so friendly so kind and the place is immaculately clean, which is super important to me! The daycare prices are super affordable and help me run my business effortlessly.Have nothing but good things to say about my favorite doggy doggy daycare and spa in LA!
Our mini Golden doodle Georgia is the sweetest girl and goes to Groom for the works- haircuts, baths and daycare. Suzie is our groomer and she’s very gentle and talented! Georgia always comes back looking beautiful. And smelling so clean. We have been to other groomers in LA, and Groom is the only place we trust. It’s like a spa for dogs and is super clean and quiet. We appreciate that Georgia does not wait around, she is taken on time and she is never caged. With 2 kids at home, some days are crazy busy so we take Georgia to Groom daycare. Georgia loves playing with her furry friends and the daycare team really pampers her too. We also appreciate that they answer the phone so we can get updates, pics & videos of our good girl. Its comforting to patronize a business where they know us and we can reach the owner Toni anytime we have a request or question. Toni is super helpful.
Angie is the best groomer!!! She always is looking out for our dogs best interest. Our dog has never looked better and you can tell she likes coming to Groom and Play to spend time with Angie. Angie is so thorough and thoughtful. They also have doggie day care, which is great!
I’ve brought multiple dogs here for doggie daycare and they love it! Very clean, safe, and happy place for dogs big and small. I’ve brought in Nova the German Shepard and Bibi the bulldog who both had a great time. It has an indoor and outdoor space where they roam freely and is private so no one from outside can see in. Great daycare attendants!! :)
I brought my goldendoodle to Groom for grooming for over a year before we moved out of the area. We loved coming here- everyone is so nice and even my somewhat timid pup wouldn’t want to leave when he was done! We saw Angie each time and she was calm and caring. They do one dog at a time so your dog isn’t there all day waiting around. Thank you for a wonderful experience and we’ll miss you!
Having tried a number of groomers in the West Hollywood area, Pua at Groom is truly the best. Our labradoodle constantly gets compliments on her cut, and we have been stopped on the street ask who our groomer is. Pua is always smiling, is communicative, and in our three years of seeing her we've always had a great experience. Most importantly our dog loves her too! We have recommended her to several friends who all thank us after. Also Toni, the owner of Groom, has a clear love of dogs and we feel lucky to have found a place that is consistently wonderful on all fronts.

Call to BookFrequently Asked Questions About Cat Grooming
What should I expect during a professional cat grooming session?
A typical professional cat grooming session usually begins with a consultation to discuss your cat's needs. The groomer will then examine your cat's coat and skin condition before proceeding with services like brushing to remove loose fur, bathing with cat-specific shampoo, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and any specialized haircuts if needed. Most sessions take between 1-2 hours depending on your cat's coat condition and temperament.
How should I prepare my cat for a grooming appointment?
To prepare your cat for grooming, brush them at home a few days before to remove loose fur and minor tangles. Keep your cat in a secure carrier for transportation. Arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork and allow your cat time to adjust to the new environment. Bring information about your cat's health, temperament, and any areas they're sensitive about. For anxious cats, consider withholding food for 2-3 hours before the appointment to reduce the risk of stress-related nausea.
Why is professional cat grooming important?
Professional cat grooming is important for several reasons: it reduces shedding and hairballs, prevents painful matting, allows early detection of skin issues or parasites, keeps your cat's coat healthy and shiny, reduces dander (helpful for allergy sufferers), and maintains proper hygiene. Professional groomers have specialized tools, products, and techniques to safely handle cats, even those with behavioral challenges. Regular grooming also helps cats become more comfortable with handling, which is beneficial for veterinary visits.
How often should my cat be professionally groomed?
The frequency of professional grooming depends on your cat's coat type, length, and lifestyle. Long-haired breeds like Persians typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Medium-haired cats may need grooming every 6-8 weeks, while short-haired cats might only need professional attention every 8-12 weeks or during seasonal shedding periods. Cats with special conditions like obesity or arthritis that prevent self-grooming may need more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule based on your cat's specific needs.
What's the difference between cat and dog grooming?
Cat grooming differs significantly from dog grooming. Cats have more sensitive skin, requiring gentler handling and cat-specific products. Their grooming sessions are typically shorter to minimize stress. Cats often need specialized restraint techniques and quieter environments. Cat groomers use different tools designed for feline coats and are trained to recognize signs of stress unique to cats. Cat-only grooming facilities eliminate the anxiety many cats experience around dogs, creating a more comfortable experience for your feline friend.
