Reviews
Overall, customers express high satisfaction with the grooming services provided, praising the staff for their professionalism, gentleness, and ability to handle pets, particularly those with prior grooming anxiety. Groomers such as Amanda, Amy, and Rita received repeated commendations for their punctuality, care, and effectiveness, with clients reporting their pets left looking great and happy. Additionally, Rita's track record with both dogs and cats highlights her popularity and the trust she has built, as many customers eagerly book her services well in advance. However, there was one negative experience related to poor communication and timeliness that stood in stark contrast to the overwhelmingly positive feedback for other groomers.
Little Lucy my 12lb terrier mix is sweet and friendly if she is not man handled . Treat her gently respectfully and she responds well. She trusts our Groomer Amanda at Pawgo. Amannda is respectful and gentle and our appointments over this year and half ha e bee great!! I highly recommend Amanda!
Gabriel was right on time, our lab is a rescue and it went great. Better yet our lab looks great and is ready for the paws Christmas…
Lou was so excited to see Amy (which is huge since prior to Amy he's always been nervous for haircuts). 100% worth it. Amy is a 10/10!
I use Rita regularly for bathing and grooming my two Medium to long haired kittys, as she has a very good track record with kitties. She does a fabulous job, has always shown up on time and the boys are purring after she leaves!! She does dogs as well and is so popular you should book months in advance!! I Do!!
Rita is fantastic and has groomed my 13 year old dog her whole life. She is on time and reliable. I highly recommend using her!
My pup was groomed by Hailey, and a she looks beautiful. A job well done and in an hour from door to door.
Fabulous. Caring. Took great care of our girl. High-quality. Will use again. Chris is wonderful
Samantha showed up to my home 1 hour early when my dog wasn’t there and I was a conference call which I let her know. Rather than coming to the door looking for my pet from my teenager ( who returned home with our dog) I get a text she’s leaving, a $30 charge ALL before my actual scheduled time. And ZERO return communication.
My dog looked very happy and beautiful after getting groomed by Rita .she is very professional .
On time, friendly, took care with our pooch, and returned her in fabulous condition. Highly recommended!

Call to BookFrequently Asked Questions About Cat Grooming
What should I expect during a professional cat grooming session?
A typical professional cat grooming session usually begins with a consultation to discuss your cat's needs. The groomer will then examine your cat's coat and skin condition before proceeding with services like brushing to remove loose fur, bathing with cat-specific shampoo, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and any specialized haircuts if needed. Most sessions take between 1-2 hours depending on your cat's coat condition and temperament.
How should I prepare my cat for a grooming appointment?
To prepare your cat for grooming, brush them at home a few days before to remove loose fur and minor tangles. Keep your cat in a secure carrier for transportation. Arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork and allow your cat time to adjust to the new environment. Bring information about your cat's health, temperament, and any areas they're sensitive about. For anxious cats, consider withholding food for 2-3 hours before the appointment to reduce the risk of stress-related nausea.
Why is professional cat grooming important?
Professional cat grooming is important for several reasons: it reduces shedding and hairballs, prevents painful matting, allows early detection of skin issues or parasites, keeps your cat's coat healthy and shiny, reduces dander (helpful for allergy sufferers), and maintains proper hygiene. Professional groomers have specialized tools, products, and techniques to safely handle cats, even those with behavioral challenges. Regular grooming also helps cats become more comfortable with handling, which is beneficial for veterinary visits.
How often should my cat be professionally groomed?
The frequency of professional grooming depends on your cat's coat type, length, and lifestyle. Long-haired breeds like Persians typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Medium-haired cats may need grooming every 6-8 weeks, while short-haired cats might only need professional attention every 8-12 weeks or during seasonal shedding periods. Cats with special conditions like obesity or arthritis that prevent self-grooming may need more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule based on your cat's specific needs.
What's the difference between cat and dog grooming?
Cat grooming differs significantly from dog grooming. Cats have more sensitive skin, requiring gentler handling and cat-specific products. Their grooming sessions are typically shorter to minimize stress. Cats often need specialized restraint techniques and quieter environments. Cat groomers use different tools designed for feline coats and are trained to recognize signs of stress unique to cats. Cat-only grooming facilities eliminate the anxiety many cats experience around dogs, creating a more comfortable experience for your feline friend.
