Alicia was so great with our rescue dog we’ve only had for 3 months! She is a little sensitive to new people and had to be muzzled at the vet, but she loved Alicia right away! She looked so beautiful at the end and Alicia was able to get everything we wanted done and so quickly, too! Our dog was happy when we picked her up, and Alicia said she was asking for pets after the groom, which is so surprising and makes us so happy. We’ll be returning clients for sure!

Jennifer did such an amazing job with both my dogs! We have a Husky and a Border Aussie! They both look absolutely wonderful, and we’re so happy when I picked them up! I haven’t had much luck finding someone who can groom a Husky very well, so I’m so excited my family told me about Oasis Grooming! HIGHLY recommend!

We have a rescue dog that it's very difficult for her to be groomed because of her past. Well Oasis pet grooming is hands down the best place to take your dog to get your dog groomed! Alicia did an amazing job with my baby Daisy!! My wife and I highly recommend this place!!! And I'm telling you, you can't beat the price!!!!

Jen was amazing! I took my 18 year old cat to a groomer for the first time a few months ago and it was a bad experience for all involved. There were dogs barking everywhere. It took 3.5 hours, and the groomer said Laila kept hissing and biting which is uncharacteristic of her. Jen had a room to herself so Laila was comfortable and she did a great job evening up the trim. She was finished in less than and hour and looked great. I will not take Laila anywhere else. Thanks Jen!

Oasis was a perfect option for our shy pup, Jojo, who gets overwhelmed with all the activity at larger grooming facilities. We have never taken her somewhere to be groomed for this reason and a trim was very needed! Looking for a local option, I was so pleased to find these private suites. Jennifer was quick to reply, happy to help and did a wonderful job. Would absolutely recommend.

Jennifer at Oasis Pet Grooming is elite. We missed an appointment due to scheduling and had to take our dogs to another groomer. Our dog came back upset and didn't look nearly as good as when Jennifer is done with them. We will never use another groomer. From the way she interacts with the dogs to the products and cage free grooming that she provides, she is just ELITE!

I had been looking for a groomer who A: would take larger dogs, B: wasn't booked a month out (need dictating), and C: was reasonable from a cost standpoint. I found all of the above with Jennifer at Oasis. She was able to accommodate same day, the pricing on her packages is great, and she took my 70+ lb Border Collie to a much more comfortable and dander free place. He is much happier as is his "mom". The added touch of a seasonal bandanna was nice as well, he is quite proud of that. My deepest appreciation to Jennifer and Oasis!

Having separate suites so the dogs are kept apart is genius. The place is very clean and professional. I love that my Opal and Izzy didn’t have to wait in a crate. Jennifer did an amazing job grooming the two. Izzy just laid out on the bed waiting for her big sister to have her time with Jennifer. It was easy to make an appointment online. I received automatic reminders, which is great. I’m looking forward to going back. I highly recommend Oasis and of course Jennifer. Enjoy! ❤️

I brought my poodle in for a bath and Jen did amazing! She is nervous around other dogs so I was relieved that the appointment was one on one. She came out happy and smelling great and even got a treat when she was done. Overall it was fast and great quality. I can't recommend Oasis grooming enough!

Frequently Asked Questions About Cat Grooming

What should I expect during a professional cat grooming session?

A typical professional cat grooming session usually begins with a consultation to discuss your cat's needs. The groomer will then examine your cat's coat and skin condition before proceeding with services like brushing to remove loose fur, bathing with cat-specific shampoo, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and any specialized haircuts if needed. Most sessions take between 1-2 hours depending on your cat's coat condition and temperament.

How should I prepare my cat for a grooming appointment?

To prepare your cat for grooming, brush them at home a few days before to remove loose fur and minor tangles. Keep your cat in a secure carrier for transportation. Arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork and allow your cat time to adjust to the new environment. Bring information about your cat's health, temperament, and any areas they're sensitive about. For anxious cats, consider withholding food for 2-3 hours before the appointment to reduce the risk of stress-related nausea.

Why is professional cat grooming important?

Professional cat grooming is important for several reasons: it reduces shedding and hairballs, prevents painful matting, allows early detection of skin issues or parasites, keeps your cat's coat healthy and shiny, reduces dander (helpful for allergy sufferers), and maintains proper hygiene. Professional groomers have specialized tools, products, and techniques to safely handle cats, even those with behavioral challenges. Regular grooming also helps cats become more comfortable with handling, which is beneficial for veterinary visits.

How often should my cat be professionally groomed?

The frequency of professional grooming depends on your cat's coat type, length, and lifestyle. Long-haired breeds like Persians typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Medium-haired cats may need grooming every 6-8 weeks, while short-haired cats might only need professional attention every 8-12 weeks or during seasonal shedding periods. Cats with special conditions like obesity or arthritis that prevent self-grooming may need more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule based on your cat's specific needs.

What's the difference between cat and dog grooming?

Cat grooming differs significantly from dog grooming. Cats have more sensitive skin, requiring gentler handling and cat-specific products. Their grooming sessions are typically shorter to minimize stress. Cats often need specialized restraint techniques and quieter environments. Cat groomers use different tools designed for feline coats and are trained to recognize signs of stress unique to cats. Cat-only grooming facilities eliminate the anxiety many cats experience around dogs, creating a more comfortable experience for your feline friend.
