The BEST dog groomer is Miss Daisy Pet Grooming and its owner, Dora. We love Dora and her staff. We have been bringing our beloved dogs to Miss Daisy Pet Grooming since it opened its doors. We take Buddy, our seven-year-old German Shepherd, and Zoe, our four-year-old Shih Tzu, to Miss Daisy Pet Grooming every four weeks. (And before he went to doggy heaven, Boromir, our Pomeranian, loved getting pampered by Dora and her staff.) They always look and smell wonderful after their visits. The salon is clean, the cost of services is extremely reasonable, and, above all, Miss Daisy Pet Grooming treats your pets like family.
Miss Daisy always does SUCH A GREAT job with my two little (large) monsters. Our labs are full of energy and Miss Daisy does such a great job with them. They are so kind, reasonable on their rates, and always so helpful when I bring multiple at the same time.
We have two rescue dogs, including an Akita / Cattle Dog mix who gets brushed daily but you'll still come away with a handful of hair if you pet her and the house needs constant sweeping due to fur flying around. I brought her and our other dog to Miss Daisy's for a nail clipping and decided to get the 80 lb Akita mix groomed as well. She's been groomed before but Dora and company did such a great job! Our girl's normally bear-like coat is now so soft. When we pet her there are no flying fistfuls of hair and no furry tumbleweeds on the floors even three days later. I'm sure she feels much cooler too. The rates were very reasonable, I couldn't be happier.
I rescued my dog Neo 4 years ago and am so grateful a friend referred me to Miss Daisy Pet Grooming. I have been taking Neo to Dora and her team since the day I got him and they are the BEST!!! Dora and her team are friendly professionals who love animals and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for the best groomer in town!
I took my 4 month old puppy to Miss Daisy for his very first grooming. Miss Daisy was very patient and explained her process for first timers. They did a great job on my puppers. I will definitely come back for his next grooming.
After going to PetSmart for a year I was frustrated by inconsistent grooming and unfriendly staff that on occasion scolded me about my dogs behavior. I started taking him to Miss Daisy and was blown away on the first visit with how friendly they were to me and my dog. The grooming has been great and my dog (who is always anxious about hair cuts) is amazingly comfortable now when I drop him off. It is clear they treat him with love. Been going here for a couple years now and recommend them to all my friends and family.
I am a first time client of Miss Daisy Pet Grooming and so relieved that the Yelp reviews for her boutique are true!!! They are genuinely friendly folks as I was greeted the second I stepped through their door. They introduced themselves and took my miniature Schnauzer, Zoe, in their arms while inquiring about the grooming style for her. This is the first time Zoe was not trembling in a grooming salon!!!! Zoe was ready in 1 hour!!! Amazing! They bathed, styled, trimmed and ground her nails, cleaned ears and teeth and expressed anal glands (Zoe does not have the usual Schnauzer style as I like a #4 all over for her). She looks fantastic and is relaxed! I am grateful and appreciative! They made it easy to set an appointment, too, as it is done by text. Thank you very much, Ms. Dora and team!!!
Dora is amazing. She is the only groomer I can trust for my cat ( Onew). She is very gentle with him and is very fast to complete grooming so my cat is not stressed out. Thank you for great service, Dora!
I love Dora. She has been the best groomer I've ever had. I actually drive 20 miles just to use her. If you're thinking about getting a new groomer she actually cares about your fur baby.
Miss Daisy Pet Grooming is by-far the best groomer I have ever been to. Dora and staff has always done a great job on my girl "Candy." Five Star in my book.

Call to BookFrequently Asked Questions About Cat Grooming
What should I expect during a professional cat grooming session?
A typical professional cat grooming session usually begins with a consultation to discuss your cat's needs. The groomer will then examine your cat's coat and skin condition before proceeding with services like brushing to remove loose fur, bathing with cat-specific shampoo, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and any specialized haircuts if needed. Most sessions take between 1-2 hours depending on your cat's coat condition and temperament.
How should I prepare my cat for a grooming appointment?
To prepare your cat for grooming, brush them at home a few days before to remove loose fur and minor tangles. Keep your cat in a secure carrier for transportation. Arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork and allow your cat time to adjust to the new environment. Bring information about your cat's health, temperament, and any areas they're sensitive about. For anxious cats, consider withholding food for 2-3 hours before the appointment to reduce the risk of stress-related nausea.
Why is professional cat grooming important?
Professional cat grooming is important for several reasons: it reduces shedding and hairballs, prevents painful matting, allows early detection of skin issues or parasites, keeps your cat's coat healthy and shiny, reduces dander (helpful for allergy sufferers), and maintains proper hygiene. Professional groomers have specialized tools, products, and techniques to safely handle cats, even those with behavioral challenges. Regular grooming also helps cats become more comfortable with handling, which is beneficial for veterinary visits.
How often should my cat be professionally groomed?
The frequency of professional grooming depends on your cat's coat type, length, and lifestyle. Long-haired breeds like Persians typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Medium-haired cats may need grooming every 6-8 weeks, while short-haired cats might only need professional attention every 8-12 weeks or during seasonal shedding periods. Cats with special conditions like obesity or arthritis that prevent self-grooming may need more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule based on your cat's specific needs.
What's the difference between cat and dog grooming?
Cat grooming differs significantly from dog grooming. Cats have more sensitive skin, requiring gentler handling and cat-specific products. Their grooming sessions are typically shorter to minimize stress. Cats often need specialized restraint techniques and quieter environments. Cat groomers use different tools designed for feline coats and are trained to recognize signs of stress unique to cats. Cat-only grooming facilities eliminate the anxiety many cats experience around dogs, creating a more comfortable experience for your feline friend.
