Reviews
Customer reviews for the grooming service present a mixed bag of experiences, revealing themes of inconsistency in service quality and staff interaction. While some customers express high satisfaction with the grooming results and attentive staff, citing positive transformations in their pets' appearances and experiences, others recount distressing incidents, including miscommunications and rude behavior from the owner. Issues like cuts not aligning with requests and pets appearing anxious highlight concerns about the overall care environment. Despite some negative experiences, a number of loyal customers appreciate the value, cleanliness, and specific services offered, like mud baths, indicating a divide in perception that reflects varying staff performance and communication effectiveness.
If I could give a zero I would. My first time there and they messed poor Dallas up and he was not matted at all. I told the lady I want a teddy bear cut and not to take too much off. Well see for yourself and seems like they run a sweat shop employees barely speak English so maybe she didn’t understand. But they will never get my money again. Even with the short cut you can see they chop him up bad what a waste do better.
I've taken Athena here for about 3 years now..... They always did a great job. The picture with the bow tie was a year ago. She gets the teddy bear cut around the face and short all over the body with flared out tail. She gets the mud bath which makes her coat so silky smooth and whatever they use on her She comes home smelling SO amazing. I have been debating writing this review and if I was going to take her back or not because of that mud bath. I have not been able to find another place that does it but I've finally decided I'm not taking her back. Thinking back on how scared she was when we got there and her anxiety was so crazy out of control. I was so confused cause she's been going there for so long but this time was different. She DID NOT want to be there. When I picked her up.......they had cut her pony tail off "by accident". Apparently misunderstanding. I was so upset I just walked out. I didn't say anything. They blew up my phone apologizing and offering to give me a full refund which I can appreciate and respect but it didn't fix the experience. I was sitting in my car crying and then went inside when I calmed down and got my money back. Accidents do happen and I'm a pretty understanding person but even the time before that they messed up cutting around her pony tail and I had to cut her hair myself to fix it, so... Everybody seems new there, it's not what it was and Athena is a licensed service animal so if SHE has anxiety going in somewhere....something isn't right. It saddens me to say goodbye but I'm hopeful we will find somewhere else.
I hate to be writing this . Though about it all day. I walked out of arts In tears . The owner is super rude , told me I should medicate my dog before taking him in cause my dog is hyper . I’ve got my puppy groomed many times never had a prob with other groomers my sister took her puppy here and I decide to take him there . I will never ever give this man my business again nor will my sister this week we both got our puppies messed up. They don’t care about your dog here specially the owner his rude how dare you tell me to medicate my 6 month old puppy , are you crazy his a pupp!! Please take you business somewhere else this place sucks with customers and haircuts! The young Ladie in the front was super sweet but other than that the owner is trash and super rude my sister and I will not be taking our babies here again!
We just had two of our small dogs nails clipped for $10 each, that was not a bad price went to ask how much it was to have their glands squeezed and they don't just do that separately it's in a package if you have them washed groomed and glands squeeze
I brought my dog here and she came home feeling silky smooth after the mud bath and smelled like Never before 😍. I usually took her to Petco Grooming, but I'll be coming here from now on. I also love that they're bilingual, I think it's a Hispanic owned location. They do such a fabulous job, and the interior looks well cared for. I honestly don't know what's wrong with people who leave negative reviews..
I walked in this morning with 2 of my fur babies and they were extremely helpful with what would work best for their haircut. They made sure they got the best to their needs. The staff was friendly and very attentive. When i picked up my babies they smelled so good, i highly recommend the mud bath.
I’m super pleased with Art of Grooming and will definitely be taking my fur baby back to them for his next groom! Ace smells and looks so good, his nails are perfect and they even topped it off with a cute little scarf. Thank you for taking such good care of our baby!
My Yorkie has an appointment not till next month. But I have to changed the schedule because she's so hot. I called the Art of Pet Grooming if they have cancelation to take my Yorkie early instead of waiting for another month. Emma the owner had put my Yorkie for early grooming. Spoke to her in person she was very nice to me. I told her my Yorkie has been there for 3 yrs. When I picked up my Yorkie she was clean, smelling good. Thanks for the Art of Pet Grooming. All of them were nice. I would recommended them.
Great customer service, I took my dog DJ in the other day, he is a Havanese and was knotted. They did a magnificent job at taking off all his hair and making him look great again. Great customer service, I bring my dog here every other month, I have never had an inconvenience here. I would highly recommend this place.
Love them!! They are so great and they always perfectly cut my son, I never want to go anywhere else! They are truly a place where you can ask them “to take a little off” and your baby doesn’t come back bald. Very customizable, clean, and just an easy experience!

Call to BookFrequently Asked Questions About Cat Grooming
What should I expect during a professional cat grooming session?
A typical professional cat grooming session usually begins with a consultation to discuss your cat's needs. The groomer will then examine your cat's coat and skin condition before proceeding with services like brushing to remove loose fur, bathing with cat-specific shampoo, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and any specialized haircuts if needed. Most sessions take between 1-2 hours depending on your cat's coat condition and temperament.
How should I prepare my cat for a grooming appointment?
To prepare your cat for grooming, brush them at home a few days before to remove loose fur and minor tangles. Keep your cat in a secure carrier for transportation. Arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork and allow your cat time to adjust to the new environment. Bring information about your cat's health, temperament, and any areas they're sensitive about. For anxious cats, consider withholding food for 2-3 hours before the appointment to reduce the risk of stress-related nausea.
Why is professional cat grooming important?
Professional cat grooming is important for several reasons: it reduces shedding and hairballs, prevents painful matting, allows early detection of skin issues or parasites, keeps your cat's coat healthy and shiny, reduces dander (helpful for allergy sufferers), and maintains proper hygiene. Professional groomers have specialized tools, products, and techniques to safely handle cats, even those with behavioral challenges. Regular grooming also helps cats become more comfortable with handling, which is beneficial for veterinary visits.
How often should my cat be professionally groomed?
The frequency of professional grooming depends on your cat's coat type, length, and lifestyle. Long-haired breeds like Persians typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks to prevent matting. Medium-haired cats may need grooming every 6-8 weeks, while short-haired cats might only need professional attention every 8-12 weeks or during seasonal shedding periods. Cats with special conditions like obesity or arthritis that prevent self-grooming may need more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule based on your cat's specific needs.
What's the difference between cat and dog grooming?
Cat grooming differs significantly from dog grooming. Cats have more sensitive skin, requiring gentler handling and cat-specific products. Their grooming sessions are typically shorter to minimize stress. Cats often need specialized restraint techniques and quieter environments. Cat groomers use different tools designed for feline coats and are trained to recognize signs of stress unique to cats. Cat-only grooming facilities eliminate the anxiety many cats experience around dogs, creating a more comfortable experience for your feline friend.
